What it does

COMPASS Skills is a set of nine SKILL.md skills for steering an AI agent's work. Five help during work: clarify the goal and acceptance criteria, keep a repo-local task forest with dependencies, cooperatively pause and resume, compress a conversation into a paste-ready prompt for a new session and keep a local collaboration profile. Two skills turn run history into a new or upgraded skill. One removes formulaic AI patterns from academic prose, and the last helps prepare an offline candidate report from a resume and a job description.

Who it is for. For people who run long tasks through an agent and want control, pauses and context handoff.

Good fit when

  • You need to agree the goal and criteria before costly or visible work
  • You need to pause work and later resume from a checkpoint
  • You need to hand context to a new session in one prompt

Not a fit when

  • The task is short and managing it does not pay off
  • You want a tool that writes code rather than steers the process

Limitations

The project is alpha. The skills keep local task and profile files in the repository, and storing them is the user's job. The candidate skill works only with an authorized resume, and data-age estimates are kept out of scoring. The docs are in English and Chinese.

How to disable. Remove the installed skill folders from the agent's directory; local task and profile files can be removed manually.
