Rules for using skillfoxx.ru, the catalog API, the MCP server and the npx skillfoxx installer.

What SkillFoxx is

SkillFoxx describes tools for AI agents and links to their original sources. We do not write or distribute the code of the entries: the installer downloads it from the author’s repository or registry. The site, catalog API and MCP server are free and need no key.

Third-party code

Every entry links to a project by another author under that author’s license. You install such code at your own risk. We describe the project and flag risks, but we do not read every line and do not guarantee that the code is safe or works. Review the repository and license before installing.

Access levels, recipe statuses and editorial badges are guidance and do not replace your own review. The methodology page explains how we set them.

The npx skillfoxx installer

  • The CLI changes agent configs on your computer, puts skill files into agent folders and, after you confirm, runs package managers (npm, pip, brew, cargo, go).
  • Before editing a config the CLI saves a backup to ~/.skillfoxx/backups and keeps the last 20 copies. On an error or interruption it rolls the install back.
  • Without the --force flag the CLI does not replace settings it did not create.
  • The CLI is distributed under the MIT license “as is”, without warranty. Licenses of bundled libraries are in THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.txt inside the package.

Catalog API, MCP and export

  • Use the catalog API and MCP within the limits listed on the developers page. Do not get around the limits by switching addresses and do not crawl the site in bulk: a full copy of the catalog is in catalog.json.
  • Do not send fake install events, inflate counters or spam through the forms.
  • SkillFoxx texts and metadata, including the catalog.json export, are available under CC BY 4.0. Credit “SkillFoxx (skillfoxx.ru)” with a link to the site or the entry page and say if you changed the data.
  • This license does not cover the code of the entries, the names and trademarks of their authors, or the SkillFoxx logo and brand design.

Submissions and accounts

By submitting you confirm that the link points to an open project and agree that the editors may decline to publish it or write the description their own way. We may restrict an account or remove a submission that breaks these terms.

You can create an account with Yandex ID, a service of YANDEX LLC, or with email and password. Yandex terms also apply to Yandex ID sign-in. Do not share your account password with other people.

Discussion rules

You can post in discussions on entry and article pages with an account or without signing in. A member’s post carries the signature they chose: their name or a nickname. Without signing in the signature is the name you gave, marked “guest”, or simply “Guest”.

  • Stay on the topic of the page: questions about installing and using the tool, answers, your experience, opinions on the article. Criticism of the tool and the article is fine.
  • Do not post ads or off-topic links, insults or threats, other people’s personal data, keys, tokens or passwords, malicious code, or instructions for getting around blocks.
  • Rules and an AI model check every post. A moderator publishes the first three posts of a new member and their posts with links. A post made without signing in goes live at once if the check has no doubts; otherwise a moderator looks at it.
  • Without signing in links are not published and posting is limited to 3 posts in 10 minutes and 10 a day from one address. Site team names such as SkillFoxx, Foxx AI, “Author” and “Moderator” are reserved.
  • We replace strings that look like keys with asterisks. If a key got into your text, revoke it with the provider.
  • Foxx AI answers are marked “AI answer”. They can contain mistakes, so check commands before running them.
  • You can report a post from the “more” menu, also without signing in. Three reports from different people hide a post until a moderator decides.
  • A moderator can hide or reject a post and close posting for a member. A member can edit or delete their own post; without signing in you can delete it within 10 minutes. Replies to a deleted post stay.
  • We do not edit “Works” and “Helpful” marks and do not sell places in discussions.

AI answers

Foxx AI answers on entry pages and its project matches come from a model working with catalog data. They can contain mistakes. Check commands on the entry page and in the author’s documentation.

Foxx AI requests have a daily limit on Moscow time. Guests get a smaller limit, signed-in members get a larger one. Cached answers do not count.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage from installing or running third-party code, from mistakes in descriptions, recipes and AI answers, or from downtime of the site, catalog API and MCP server.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Russian Federation.

Changes

We publish each new version of these terms on this page and update the date at the top.
