What it does
ego lite is a separate macOS browser where the agent and the human work in parallel. Installing the app adds the ego-browser skill to every agent's skills directory on the machine. Given a task, the agent opens a page in its own isolated space, reads it as structured text (a Snapshot), acts on the page and reports back, while your own tabs stay untouched. If you migrate Chrome data, the agent inherits your logins, cookies, extensions and bookmarks. The skill can also be added with a single npx command.
Who it is for. For people who want an agent to act in the browser using their own sites while keeping the browser to themselves.

The skill works only together with the ego lite app, which is macOS-only for now. The agent acts in the browser under your saved sessions, so grant access deliberately. The project collects a narrow set of product signals; browser data stays on the device.
How to disable. Remove the ego-browser skill folder from the agent's skills directory and uninstall the ego lite app.
