VibeSkills
A skill orchestrator that freezes requirements, plans work in phases and picks the right skills from your local set for the task
Medium risk
We rate an entry medium when the tool runs code, makes network calls or reads project files. Check what exactly it does before installing.
Why this level
- Runs a Python entry CLI and drives task execution in the project
- Orchestrates and invokes other installed skills
Install
Manual install
bash ./install.sh --skills-dir "$HOME/.claude/skills"Run from the extracted release folder. For another agent change only the path, for example ~/.codex/skills or ~/.agents/skills. On Windows there is install.ps1 for PowerShell.
This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.
What it does
VibeSkills is a single vibe skill that governs a complex task from requirements to delivery. It first locks the task statement without distortion, then splits it into verifiable subtasks arranged in phases. From the skills already installed in the agent it selects only the ones actually needed, reads their SKILL.md files and orders the work by dependencies. At the end it runs readiness checks so a result is not treated as delivered without confirmation. The same package installs into different agents through adapters, changing only the skills directory and the invocation syntax.
Who it is for. For people who keep many local skills and want the agent to plan and assemble them into a workflow for a complex task.
Good fit when
- A multi-step task where order and result verification matter
- Many skills are installed and the agent should pick the relevant ones itself
- You want to freeze requirements and run work in phases rather than one prompt
Not a fit when
- A simple question or one-off command where orchestration is overhead
- A single specific skill invoked directly is enough
Example request
Run vibe and take this task through phases: freeze the requirements, plan it and pick the skills neededLimitations
The skill installs from a published release archive via install.ps1 or install.sh, not by plain repository copy. The runtime needs Python and works through the vgo entry CLI. It pays off only where other skills are already installed: on its own it does nothing beyond planning and orchestration. The installer does not edit agent settings or install third-party MCPs.
How to disable. Remove the vibe folder from the skills directory where you installed it, for example ~/.claude/skills/vibe or ~/.agents/skills/vibe.
Security check

README in short
The README presents VibeSkills as a general-purpose skill that automatically routes local skills and orchestrates agent workflows. The project describes its approach: clarify the goal and delivery requirements, decompose the task into verifiable subtasks, select a small set of truly relevant skills and run them by dependencies, then run checks at the end. Installation comes from a release archive via one installer into a chosen skills directory that is the same across supported agents. It ships adapters for several hosts, the vgo entry CLI and a set of bundled skills. Apache 2.0 licensed.
FAQ
Does it decide which skills to call?
Yes. Within its phase it reviews installed skills as candidates and surfaces relevant ones, while the final execution order is set by the workflow itself.
Which agents does it support?
It ships adapters for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf and OpenCode; only the skills directory path and the invocation syntax differ.
