onec-hbk-bsl: BSL linter and MCP
1C HBK BSL (onec-hbk-bsl)
A BSL CLI linter and formatter with 180 diagnostics, an LSP server for VS Code and Cursor, and MCP tools for local AI assistants
Medium risk
We rate an entry medium when the tool runs code, makes network calls or reads project files. Check what exactly it does before installing.
Why this level
- The format command rewrites .bsl and .os files in the workspace
- The local MCP and LSP run in the project's context, including private code
Install
Manual install
uv tool install onec-hbk-bslInstall the CLI via uv.
This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.
What it does
The onec-hbk-bsl package checks BSL code against 180 public diagnostic rules, formats .bsl and .os files, can output SARIF or JSON for CI, and supports baseline files to track only new findings. Its LSP server provides navigation, hover, completion, rename and inlay hints, and the VS Code / Cursor extension connects to it automatically. A separate onec-hbk-bsl mcp command starts a local stdio MCP server that gives an AI assistant the same diagnostics and code structure. The project does not run a Java analyzer at runtime; the logic is all in Python, with ready platform VSIX builds that need no system Python.
Who it is for. For 1C developers who want a fast local BSL linter and formatter with CI integration and an AI assistant hook, without a Java stack.
Good fit when
- You need BSL diagnostics and formatting right inside VS Code or Cursor
- You need a SARIF or JSON code-check report for CI
- You need an MCP or LSP that gives an AI assistant access to BSL diagnostics and navigation
Not a fit when
- You need full 1C configuration analysis with metadata beyond BSL files: the project works with the current workspace, not a database
- You want the PyPI install rather than VSIX and don't have Python 3.12 or newer
- You need a centralized platform reference; the ecosystem has a separate onec-context-mcp for that
Example request
Check the BSL code in the current folder and show all error-level findings in SARIF formatLimitations
Installing from PyPI needs Python 3.12 or newer; the platform VSIX builds for VS Code and Cursor do not require that. The project only analyzes the current workspace; a separate project by the same author, onec-context-mcp, provides a centralized platform reference. Some RU/EN diagnostic descriptions are adapted from the BSL Language Server documentation, with the license noted in the third-party notices.
How to disable. Remove the mussolene.1c-hbk-bsl extension from the editor, or uninstall the package with pip uninstall onec-hbk-bsl and remove it from your MCP client configuration.
Security check
- The format command rewrites .bsl and .os files in the workspace
- The local MCP and LSP run in the project's context, including private code
README in short
The README describes two linked products: the Toolkit (CLI, LSP, MCP, Python API) and the VS Code / Cursor extension. It gives a quick start for both, a onec-hbk-bsl.toml configuration table, an explanation of BSL### diagnostic codes and suppression comments, a table of core commands including lsp and mcp, a Python API example, a table of two PyPI packages, and the project's place in an ecosystem alongside onec-context-mcp, onec-context-toolkit and 1c-develop by the same author. It notes that some diagnostic descriptions are adapted from the BSL Language Server. MIT license.
FAQ
Is a system Python required to install the VS Code extension?
No, the platform VSIX builds for macOS, Linux and Windows ship a ready binary.
How do I suppress one warning in code?
With a // noqa: BSL012 comment after the line, or a // bsl-disable / // bsl-enable pair for a range.
