What it does
The tool runs Higgsfield generations from the terminal and suits agents that work in the console. More than 40 models are available: images, video, 3D, audio, and analysis of finished video. Installation is through npm (the @higgsfield/cli package), a curl script or Homebrew. The higgsfield auth login command signs in and opens the browser. Example launch: higgsfield generate create nano_banana_2 --prompt "..." --wait.
Who it is for. For developers and authors who generate images and video from the terminal and from scripts and work with agents like Claude Code.
Good fit when
- You need to run generations in scripts and batch jobs
- You need a terminal agent that calls generation itself and waits for the result
- You need a choice among more than 40 models from the command line
Not a fit when
- You want a connection without installing programs: the remote Higgsfield MCP server is simpler
- You cannot send images and descriptions to the external Higgsfield service
Example request
Generate five preview options for the article in the Nano Banana model and save the files to the assets folderLimitations
Generations spend resources of your Higgsfield account, and the tool documentation gives no prices. The tool sends requests and images to the Higgsfield service. You complete the browser sign-in yourself. The npm package version is 1.1.26 and the repository was updated on 18.09.2026. Availability from Russia is not stated in the documentation.
How to disable. Sign out with higgsfield auth logout if your version has it, remove the package with npm uninstall -g @higgsfield/cli and revoke access in the Higgsfield account settings.
