What it does
The bot takes a question in Telegram, passes it to a chosen AI model (DeepSeek, OpenAI, Anthropic or Google Gemini), which decides which tools of a 1C MCP server to call: listing metadata objects, an object's structure, or an arbitrary custom_query. The bot itself is not an MCP server but a client to an already configured external 1c_mcp_custom_query server. On errors the model refines the request up to 10 times, metadata structures are cached to files to speed up repeat queries, and there is chat ID access control and log rotation.
Who it is for. For 1C teams who want to ask questions about infobase data straight from Telegram, without opening the 1C client or a separate agent chat.

- The 1c_mcp_custom_query MCP server is already set up and published
- You have a key for the chosen AI model: DeepSeek, OpenAI, Anthropic or Google
Not a fit when
- There is no MCP server for 1C available yet, the separate 1c_mcp_custom_query project by the same author needs to be set up first
- You need this inside an IDE agent, not Telegram: the bot does not integrate with Claude Code or Cursor

The bot depends on a separately deployed 1c_mcp_custom_query MCP server and a third-party AI model key; it does not work without them. By default it answers every Telegram user unless ALLOWED_CHAT_IDS is set explicitly. The MCP server's basic authentication is configured through separate variables, and the README does not describe encrypting the bot token at rest.
How to disable. Stop the python bot.py process and revoke the bot token with @BotFather if it is no longer needed.
