The server wraps the 2GIS Search API into MCP tools: place search by name and location, a geocoder to convert addresses to coordinates, address autocomplete suggestions, business category search, region search by name, and map markers for search results. It runs locally over stdio via python3 -m src.main, or in Docker Compose with streamable-http transport on port 8101. The 2GIS key and API address are set in a .env file.

It needs your own key from the 2GIS API Console, and 2GIS may ask about your use case and limit the region or volume. The project is small, with no ready npm or PyPI package; it is installed by cloning the repo and running uv sync. There are no routes or isochrones, only the Search API.
How to disable. Remove the server from your MCP client config and stop the container with docker-compose down if you used Docker.
