FIRERPA (lamda)
An Android control platform with a built-in MCP server: the agent drives the device, automates the UI, captures traffic and works with Frida
High risk
We rate an entry high when the tool writes to external systems, handles money, production databases or secrets, or runs arbitrary commands. The CLI installs it only with your consent.
Why this level
- Full device control, including input and remote desktop
- Traffic capture and reverse engineering require permission to analyze apps
- It can read local app data on the device
Install
Manual install
pip install -U lamdaInstalls the Python client. The FIRERPA service must be deployed on the device per the project docs.
This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.
What it does
FIRERPA is an Android control and automation framework: a service runs on the device, and the lamda Python client drives it from the PC. Through one service you get selector-based UI automation with OCR and image matching, a WebRTC and H.264 remote desktop, one-click traffic capture, built-in Frida for reverse engineering, proxying and distributed networking. It ships an MCP server on the streamable-http transport with tool calls, resource reads, prompts and logs, compatible with Claude, Cursor and other MCP clients. A separate agent command drives the device in natural language through an OpenAI-compatible API.
Who it is for. For mobile automation, testing and security engineers who manage real Android devices and emulators.
Good fit when
- You want the agent to drive an Android device and run app flows
- You need UI automation, traffic capture and reverse engineering on one platform
- You want to manage a device fleet from code and over MCP
Not a fit when
- You need light, one-off automation without deploying an on-device service
- You are not authorized to analyze the app or traffic you touch
Example request
Connect to the device, open the app and walk through the flow I describe step by stepLimitations
This is a large framework: you deploy the FIRERPA service on the device and install the lamda Python client, and the device serves the MCP endpoint at /mcp/. Traffic capture, Frida and encrypted-database reading are meant for apps you are allowed to analyze. Some features need root or Magisk. Docs and part of the community are in Chinese and English.
How to disable. Remove the server entry from the MCP client config, stop and remove the FIRERPA service from the device and uninstall the lamda package.

README in short
The README describes FIRERPA as one Android control platform: an on-device service plus the lamda Python client replace a stack of Appium, mitmproxy, frida-server, adb and uiautomator2. It lists a WebRTC and H.264 remote desktop, UI automation with virtual displays, OCR and image matching, one-click traffic capture, built-in ADB, SSH and terminal, proxying and distributed networking. The AI section covers a built-in MCP server on streamable-http and an agent command for natural-language control. The project has over six years of development and is MIT licensed.
FAQ
Where is the MCP server?
It is built into the FIRERPA service on the device, served at /mcp/ over streamable-http; official extensions live in ~/modules/extension.
Is root required?
The platform works with and without root, but some features, such as preinstalling adb_keys via Magisk, assume root.
