What it does
GetCourse has no public API for everyday admin actions, so the server connects over CDP to an already running, logged-in Chromium or Yandex Browser and reuses its session and CSRF token instead of passwords. Twenty-odd tools cover finding a user, reading and adding group access (GetCourse delivers course access through group membership), copying access from one student to another, creating and paying an order for buyer-only offers, changing a deal's status, filing a money refund through the payment module, unblocking stuck course modules, and managing mailing categories. Most write tools have a dryRun mode to preview the action before it actually runs.
Who it is for. For GetCourse course administrators who manually grant student access, sort out stuck payments, and want to do this through an agent.
Good fit when
- You want to quickly grant a student the same access as another student on the same course
- You need to figure out why a paying student is stuck and cannot see the next module
- You need to grant access to a buyer-only offer by creating and paying an order
Not a fit when
- You do not have a separate browser profile with remote debugging enabled, logged into your GetCourse account
- You do not want to grant a tool access to an admin session: the server directly manages groups, orders and money refunds
- You are not on Windows: the CDP session setup in the current version is tied to a Windows profile path

The project has a single author and works around the lack of an official GetCourse API via a browser CDP session, which can break if GetCourse changes its side. gc_create_order, gc_pay_order and gc_refund_order deal with real money and orders, so dryRun should be used carefully before a real run. Purchase-based access does not show up in a user's groups, which is a GetCourse quirk, not a server bug.
How to disable. Remove the getcourse entry from your MCP client config and close the remote-debugging browser profile.

Do I need a GetCourse password or API key?
No, the server reuses an already open browser session over CDP; passwords and tokens are never stored or passed to it.
Can I preview an action before it actually runs?
Yes, most write tools have a dryRun parameter to preview the result without making a real change.
