What it does
The package installs via Composer directly into a boxed Bitrix24 installation and runs as a long-lived PHP CLI process that talks to an MCP client over stdio. Unlike inbound-webhook servers, it runs from inside the portal under a configured admin_user_id and loads the needed modules (crm, tasks, socialnetwork, optionally iblock) right from composer.json. Its tools cover CRM (deals, contacts, any entity by entityTypeId, smart processes, UF_* user fields), tasks, workgroups and iblock elements, including create, update and irreversible delete. It can run natively, in Docker, via WSL on Windows, or remotely over SSH; any MCP client with stdio transport fits the same pattern.
Who it is for. For boxed Bitrix24 developers who need deeper CRM and field-configuration access than a plain webhook offers.
Good fit when
- Your portal is boxed and the server can run on the same machine or Docker environment
- You need access to arbitrary CRM entities by entityTypeId, not just deals and contacts
- You need to administer UF_* user fields and smart processes from an agent
Not a fit when
- Your portal is cloud-based: the package is built to install inside a boxed Bitrix24
- You need production stability: the author explicitly warns this is alpha and may change without notice
- You just need a plain inbound webhook without access to the portal's files

The author explicitly marks this as an alpha version not recommended for production, and the API and config format may change without notice. Requires PHP 8.3+, Composer and access to the portal's files from the same environment the server runs in; PHP CGI/FPM is not supported, only a CLI process. The Elastic License 2.0 forbids reselling, redistributing or rebranding it as a separate product.
How to disable. Remove the package with composer remove parfeon/mcp-bitrix24 and delete the server entry from your MCP client config.

Do I need an inbound webhook?
No, the server runs from inside the portal under a configured admin_user_id rather than through an external webhook.
What happens if bitrix_root is not found?
The server stops with an explicit error telling you to set extra.mcp-bitrix24.bitrix_root in composer.json manually.
