What it does

The server gives an agent six Mindbox tools: customer profile and subscriptions, orders, segment membership checks, product lists, and a generic run_operation call for anything not covered by the typed tools. Requests go to api.mindbox.ru with idempotency via transactionId and backoff retries. An important detail: Mindbox operation system names are configured per customer project rather than being universal built-in methods, so names like Website.GetCustomerInfo are just a common convention that a project admin has to create.

Who it is for. For marketers and developers using Mindbox as their CDP who want to pull customer profiles and segments through an agent instead of exporting to Excel.

Good fit when

  • You need to quickly check a customer's purchase history by email without opening the Mindbox interface
  • You need to check whether a customer falls into a specific segment
  • You need an arbitrary call to a Mindbox operation configured in your project

Not a fit when

  • Operation system names are not configured in your Mindbox project: the server will return a ProtocolError on the example default names
  • You need bulk customer profile changes without review: run_operation executes exactly what is configured in the project, including irreversible operations

Limitations

Operation names (`operation`) are not universal: a Mindbox project admin configures them, and README defaults like Website.GetCustomerInfo only work if that operation exists in your project. HTTP mode listens on 127.0.0.1 by default; running behind a proxy needs manually opening the host and setting MINDBOX_HTTP_ALLOWED_HOSTS against DNS rebinding. This is an unofficial community project.

How to disable. Remove the server from your MCP client config, for example claude mcp remove mindbox in Claude Code.

Does run_operation call any Mindbox operation?

Only ones configured in your project under a specific system name; Mindbox has no universal method list.

Can it call async operations?

Yes, run_operation with mode: "async" sends fire-and-forget events like a page view or add-to-cart.
