@theyahia/yandex-webmaster-mcp
A TypeScript MCP server for the Yandex Webmaster API: sites, indexing, search queries, sitemaps, diagnostics and recrawl, 13 tools

Create an application at oauth.yandex.ru with the webmaster:api scope, get an OAuth token, then run claude mcp add yandex-webmaster -e YANDEX_WEBMASTER_TOKEN=your_token -- npx -y @theyahia/yandex-webmaster-mcp.
Other ways from the author
claude mcp add yandex-webmaster -e YANDEX_WEBMASTER_TOKEN=ваш_oauth_токен -- npx -y @theyahia/yandex-webmaster-mcpThe README's command for connecting in Claude Code.
This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.
What it does
The server offers 13 tools for Yandex Webmaster: a list of verified sites, account info, search queries per site with impressions, clicks and average position, an aggregated traffic trend over time, an indexing summary, sitemap handling, important URLs, host diagnostics and requesting a page recrawl. Output defaults to compact Markdown, with raw JSON also available. Authorization needs only a webmaster:api token; the server resolves the numeric user_id itself via the API, with no manual entry needed. The server is part of the same author's broader YaAll bundle, where ten Yandex-service MCP servers live side by side, but it is distributed and runs as a standalone npm package.
Who it is for. For SEO specialists who want a compact standalone MCP for Yandex Webmaster specifically, without the rest of the Yandex service bundle.
Good fit when
- You need indexing, search queries and diagnostics for a specific site in Webmaster
- You want compact Markdown output instead of raw JSON to save context
- You need to request a page recrawl after site changes
Not a fit when
- You want the whole Yandex service stack at once: the same author's full YaAll bundle is simpler
- You need data for a site you have not verified: access is limited to sites in the token's account
Example request
Show the site's indexing summary and request a recrawl of pages that have not updated recentlyLimitations
You need an OAuth token with the webmaster:api scope, obtained through an application at oauth.yandex.ru. The get_search_queries tool is flagged in the README as a deprecated alias for get_popular_search_queries. HTTP mode does not check the Host header against DNS rebinding by default unless the MCP_ALLOWED_HOSTS list is explicitly set.
How to disable. Remove the server with claude mcp remove yandex-webmaster, or delete the yandex-webmaster block from your MCP client config.
MCP
- Transport
- stdio, http
- Authentication
- API key
| Environment variables | |
|---|---|
| YANDEX_WEBMASTER_TOKEN required, secret | OAuth token with the webmaster:api scope |
| YANDEX_WEBMASTER_USER_ID | The numeric user ID, resolved automatically if not set |
| MCP_ALLOWED_HOSTS | Allowed hosts for HTTP mode, protecting against DNS rebinding |
Security check
- Can request page recrawls and change sitemaps if the token has those rights
- The OAuth token grants access to every verified site in the Webmaster account
README in short
The README notes that the server is part of the broader YaAll bundle with ten Yandex MCP servers, but is distributed separately here. It lists 13 tools for sites, indexing, search queries, sitemaps, important URLs, diagnostics and recrawl, an environment variable table with the token, an optional user_id and HTTP mode settings, installation for Claude Desktop and Claude Code via npx, and getting a token through oauth.yandex.ru with the webmaster:api scope.
FAQ
Do I need to set the user_id manually?
No, the server resolves it itself via a GET /user/ request.
Can I get raw JSON instead of Markdown?
Yes, output defaults to compact Markdown, but a raw JSON mode is also available.
