What it does
The repository holds the 1C development standards site (v8std.ru) and an MCP service for it. Through MCP an agent searches the site, reads the standards it finds and answers with a link to the rule, for example the `bslls:UsingModalWindows` diagnostic. The public server address is `https://ai.v8std.ru/mcp`. Locally MCP runs in Docker, alone or together with a site copy, in which case links in answers point to local pages. The service is reference only: it neither changes the project nor runs a full code check.
Who it is for. 1C developers who need an agent to explain code-check warnings and cite the standard instead of paraphrasing from memory.
Good fit when

Limitations
The public service receives the text of the agent's queries, so closed code and confidential data must not be sent; use a local setup for those. Per the README, a standalone MCP with the public index is still being verified and completed. The repository carries several license texts; read them before reusing site material. The assistant's answer may be inaccurate, so compare it with the standard it found through the link.
How to disable. Remove the `v8std` server from client settings. Stop a local run with `docker compose down` in the folder holding `compose.yaml`.

What address goes in the settings?
Name `v8std`, address `https://ai.v8std.ru/mcp`. Opening it in a browser is pointless; there is no standalone chat.
What if the assistant answers without a source?
Ask it to query v8std and quote the material found, then open the link and compare the rule with your task.
How does a local run differ from the public one?
Locally MCP runs in Docker with `compose.yaml`: MCP alone, downloading the reference from v8std.ru, or MCP with a site copy. Docker and Docker Compose are required.
Does the service change my project?
No. It returns reference material and writes nothing to the project.
Do I need to know MCP to use it?
No. Add the server to the assistant's settings once, then ask questions in plain chat text.
