Broad access
Why this level
- The agent edits scripts, instances and terrain across all connected Studio windows
- Asset uploads go through Roblox Open Cloud, and the installer runs as a script from GitHub
Install
- Works in
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add mcp/weppy-roblox-ai-toolkitDetects the agents on your machine, shows the access level and pins the version.
What it sends to the author: what it sends to the author: the tool sends anonymous telemetry about product usage, reliability, platform coverage, and feature adoption. telemetry can be disabled via an environment variable. To turn it off: ENABLE_TELEMETRY=false in the server environment.

What it does
WEPPY Roblox AI Toolkit is an MCP server paired with a Roblox Studio plugin. The agent creates and changes instances, scripts, properties, terrain, lighting, audio and animation straight inside Studio. Up to five Studio windows, such as lobby, game and shop, connect to one server, and a request names the target Studio ID. Assets travel from idea to place: the agent prepares an image, saves it to a local library, uploads it through Roblox Open Cloud and applies the returned address to an ImageLabel, Decal or Texture. Sync keeps a local mirror of the project, and edits from files are shown for review first. There is Luau syntax validation without starting the game and structured playtests with input and a dashboard report. Basic and Pro editions differ in feature set.
Who it is for. For Roblox developers whose game spans several Places and who want to drive it from Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI.
Good fit when
- The game has a lobby, main map and shop, and edits must be routed across Studio windows in one request
- You need an icon made, uploaded to Roblox and applied to a button straight away
- You want a local mirror of the project and a review of file edits before they hit Studio
- You check scripts for syntax errors before a playtest
- You need a panel showing which agent is connected to which Studio window
Not a fit when
- You only need a free, simple debugging bridge: the server is AGPL-3.0 with a separate commercial license, and some features sit in the Pro edition
- The machine has no Node.js 22 or newer
- You are not ready to run an install script from GitHub: the server can be added by hand with npx
- You must limit access to reading the game structure: the server can change the scene, scripts and assets
Example request
In studio-1 add the event portal to the lobby, and in studio-2 add the arrival point and guide UI to the game mapMCP
- Transport
- stdio
- Authentication
- not required
Limitations
Node.js 22 or newer, Roblox Studio and Windows 10 or macOS 12 or newer are required. Server and plugin versions must match, and Studio is restarted after an update. Asset uploads go through Roblox Open Cloud. Advanced sync modes and up to five Places are part of Pro. Luau validation downloads a WASM parser on first use. Uploading images through Open Cloud needs access to your Roblox account. The install scripts are downloaded from GitHub, so read them before running.
How to disable. Remove the server registration in your AI client, for example claude mcp remove, and delete the WEPPY plugin from Studio's Plugins folder. The Claude Code plugin is removed with claude plugin uninstall.
FAQ
How do I connect several Roblox Studio windows to one agent?
Open up to five Studio windows with the WEPPY plugin and they join one MCP server. Name the target window's Studio ID in the request, for example studio-1; the Dashboard Connection tab lists windows and IDs.
How is WEPPY different from other Roblox Studio MCP servers?
The community server by chrrxs focuses on runtime debugging and playtests. WEPPY leans on multi-Place work, an asset chain through Open Cloud and two-way sync with local files, and adds a dashboard and Basic and Pro editions.
How do I install WEPPY for Claude Code?
The one-line installer from the repository registers the server and installs the Claude Code plugin. By hand, connect the server with npx -y @weppy/roblox-mcp@latest and add the agent plugin through claude plugin marketplace add hope1026/weppy-roblox-mcp.
What license does WEPPY Roblox MCP use?
The code is open under AGPL-3.0, and the repository carries separate COMMERCIAL-LICENSE terms for closed commercial use.
How do I check a Luau script for errors through WEPPY before running the game?
Ask the agent to validate source or a Script path and it returns all syntax diagnostics in one response. Automatic checks after script writes are enabled in Controls, Luau Syntax Validation and are off by default.

README in short
The product splits into a server for AI apps and a Studio plugin. Six blocks are described: direct Studio control, multi-Place work, assets, sync, Luau validation and playtests. It offers a web install page, a terminal installer for macOS, Linux and Windows, and a manual npx path. Claude Code, Codex and Antigravity can add a plugin with ready workflows.
