What it does
Claude Scholar adds the agent a set of skills for different stages of a research project: from idea brainstorming and literature review to designing experiments, analyzing results and drafting a paper. Separate skills handle Zotero integration for collecting sources and Obsidian integration for the project's knowledge base. There are also skills for coding, code review and technical writing aimed at researchers who write code alongside papers. The plugin installs into Claude Code, while Codex CLI and OpenCode users are pointed to separate branches of the repository.

The main branch targets Claude Code; other agents require switching to separate branches of the repository. Zotero and Obsidian integrations require those apps to be installed and configured separately.
How to disable. Remove the claude-scholar plugin via /plugin or delete the skills/ folder from the Claude Code plugins directory.
