What it does
The plugin adds a ru-web-search skill with two scripts on top of the Yandex Cloud Search API: classic search returns the top 10 results with titles, links and snippets, and generative search returns an AI-synthesized answer with source links. A separate ru-web-searcher agent on the Haiku model is tuned for Russian-language queries and triggers automatically when the user searches in Russian, asks about .ru domains, or explicitly requests a Yandex search. Access goes through the official Yandex Cloud API rather than browser emulation, requiring a service account with the search-api.webSearch.user role and a configured yc CLI.
Who it is for. For developers who want an official, not workaround, way to search Yandex directly from Claude Code.

You need a Yandex Cloud account with Search API enabled, an installed and configured yc CLI, a service account with the search-api.webSearch.user role, and an authorized key. The Yandex Cloud Search API is paid beyond its free tier. The YC_FOLDER_ID and YC_PROFILE variables need to be set in Claude Code's settings.json or in shell environment variables.
How to disable. Run /plugin uninstall yandex-search-ru in Claude Code.
