What it does
The plugin installs an MCP server and seven skills: yaseo-setup, seo-site-check, keyword-research, position-tracking, content-brief, improve-positions, ai-visibility. A technical site audit and AI-search readiness check (robots.txt, llms.txt, JSON-LD) run for free with no keys. Rankings, live SERP, Wordstat and Yandex's generative answer come from the official Yandex Search API and need a paid Yandex AI Studio key: before every paid step the agent states the number of calls and waits for approval. The centerpiece is get_action_plan: a fix list ordered by fixed rules (indexing first, then quick wins at position 4-15, then snippets and cannibalization), where every item carries a quote or number with a measurement date, an agent instruction, and a way to verify it. Query rankings are recorded as the median of three measurements once a query has ranked in the top before, and everything is stored in a local SQLite database.
Who it is for. For marketers and business owners without deep SEO expertise who already work in Claude Code and want a clear, evidence-backed fix plan.

Rankings, SERP, Wordstat and the generative answer are paid per Yandex AI Studio pricing and require a card linked to the key. Webmaster and Metrika connect via OAuth, but their reports are currently terminal-only, not available in chat. AI provider answers change between runs, one run is a snapshot, not a guarantee. Wordstat accepts at most 100 requests per hour.
How to disable. Run /plugin uninstall yaseo@yaseo in Claude Code, the local database stays at ~/.local/share/yaseo/ and can be deleted separately.

Are keys needed for the first check?
No, the technical audit and AI-search readiness check work without keys or a card, a paid Yandex AI Studio key is only needed for rankings, SERP, Wordstat and the generative answer.
How are rankings measured?
A query that has already ranked in the top is measured three times and recorded as the median, a query outside the top is measured once since repeated 'not in top' results add nothing. The tracker looks at the top 10.
