Install

Manual install

Text for your agent

Open the file for the needed task in the prompts folder of youart-open-source/awesome-gpt-image-2-5-prompts, for example prompts/gpt-image-2-5-poster-prompts.md. Copy the prompt whole, replace the fields in curly and square brackets with the user's values, and give the author and the link to the original post if you quote the request.

How we review

Minimal accessThe tool runs nothing and makes no network calls.

What it does

The repository collects 150 prompts for OpenAI's GPT Image models, including GPT Image 2.5. The texts were published on X by 110 authors and reached the collection through two open-source repositories. Each prompt is reproduced word for word, with the author's name and a link to the original post. The collection is grouped by task: posters, text in image, infographics, UI mockups, product shots, ad creative, character design, portraits and illustration. Every task has its own file in the prompts folder. All 150 records also sit in `data/prompts.json`, where a record has a title, category, author, post link, a JSON-format flag and a text hash. Some prompts are written as a JSON object because the image has separate parts: a header, a centerpiece, numbered callouts, a footer. Besides the prompts, the README has a short guide: name the finished artifact, lock the layout before the style, put the exact words in quotes, direct the camera, constrain the palette and list what must not appear.

Who it is for. For designers, marketers and content authors who generate images in GPT Image and want to start from ready wording.

Good fit when

  • You need a poster, flyer or album cover and want to see how authors describe composition: where the title sits, how much empty space there is, what fills the lower third
  • You need an infographic or an explainer slide: the long prompts fix the number of callouts, their side and the label text
  • You need a mockup of an interface, dashboard or landing page, where the model has to be told the screen components by name
  • You need series of product shots or packaging with repeatable light, surface and camera position
  • You need a character sheet with front, side and back views to feed back to the model as a reference

Not a fit when

  • You need a skill or tool that picks and assembles a prompt for you: there are only ready texts here and no code for that
  • You need a request text in Russian: the prompts are not translated and stay in the author's language, because translation changes the output
  • You need a guarantee of rights to publish the result: the maintainer did not trace the chain of rights for each prompt
  • You need prompts for a different model: the collection is built for GPT Image

Example request

Take the movie teaser poster prompt from the collection, insert my film's title and premiere date and show the final request text for GPT Image

Limitations

The prompts stay in the authors' language, mostly English. 56 prompts keep template fields in curly braces and another 18 use capitalized words in square brackets, such as a brand name. These slots must be replaced with your own values before running, or the model draws the placeholder into the picture.

The texts and titles belong to their authors. The build scripts are licensed MIT, the rest is not yet offered under an open licence and the maintainer asks you to request permission for reuse. The maintainer did not trace the chain of rights for each prompt, so for commercial use rely on the author credit line. Rights to the example images stay with their creators.

GPT Image 2.5 is rolling out gradually and is not open to every account. Most prompts were published before 2.5 came out; they are plain-language and not tied to a model version. The maintainer is the YouArt service, and the README links to its generator.

How to disable. There is nothing to install: delete the downloaded prompt files or the bookmark to the repository.

FAQ

Do GPT Image 2 prompts work with GPT Image 2.5?

The maintainer says yes: these are natural-language prompts without model-specific syntax, so they run unchanged. Of the 149 posts with a known date, 144 came out before GPT Image 2.5 was released on 8 September 2026, and the maintainer does not claim the authors ran them on 2.5.

How do I use the prompts in the collection?

Open the file for your task, copy the prompt whole from the code block without paraphrasing and swap in your own parts: subject, copy, palette. Quoted strings are rendered literally by the model, so change them deliberately. Fields in curly braces and capitalized words in square brackets are slots for your values.

Should I write a GPT Image prompt as JSON or as prose?

For a single subject, such as a portrait, an illustration or a product shot, prose is enough. JSON is for images with separate parts: a header, a centerpiece, numbered callouts, a footer. By the maintainer's count JSON prompts are longer: a median of 3,360 characters against 2,487 for prose.

How do I get exact text inside the picture?

Write the needed string in quotes and say where it sits in the frame, then name the type character in place of a specific typeface. The maintainer holds that misses in wording usually come from an underspecified request, and that the model spells well.

Can I use these prompts in my own project?

The terms are in the limitations of this card: the texts belong to their authors and the build scripts are MIT licensed. If you quote a prompt, give the author and the link, and for serious commercial use check the rights with the author. An author can ask for a prompt to be removed, and the maintainer will take it out.

README in short

The README comes in six languages and opens by saying where the prompts came from: authors published them on X and the maintainer collected and verified them. Next are a usage section, a gallery of examples, an overview of the nine tasks with links to the files and six patterns for writing a good request. Then come the licence and takedown rules, the JSON prompt format, an index of all 150 records, answers to common questions and a block for agents with the addresses of `llms.txt` and `data/prompts.json`.
