What it does
Agent Skills Standard is a code standards manager for several agents: Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Gemini and Windsurf. It loads into the project only skills that suit the stack. The CLI is called `ags`, version 2.6.5. Installation: `npx agent-skills-standard@latest init`, update: `npx agent-skills-standard@latest sync`. Release skillspector-verified-v20261002, MIT license. The figures about 280 ready standards and token savings in the README are the author's self-assessment.
Who it is for. For teams with several agents in a project that need common code standards without excess context.
Good fit when
- You need common code standards for several agents
- You need loading of only suitable skills by stack
- You need standards synchronization with the sync command
Not a fit when
- You cannot let a utility change project files
- You need verified savings figures: they are the author's self-assessment
Example request
Connect standards for my TypeScript and React stack and show which files will appear in the projectLimitations
The init and sync commands write standards files into the project, so access is extended: work in a separate branch and review changes before committing. We have not verified the author's claims about the number of standards and token savings.
How to disable. Remove the skill from the agent's folder or the plugin through the plugin manager.
