Why this level
- Queries and the API key go to the external arkvol.com service, and a leaked key gives others access to your account
- The server forces skill updates, and an update pulls new code from the repository
Install
- Works in
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add skills/arkvol-skillDetects the agents on your machine, shows the access level and pins the version.

What it does
Arkvol Skill connects an agent to arkvol.com, a service that collects indicators for mainland China, Hong Kong and US equity markets. The agent answers natural-language questions: market sentiment and the greed and fear index for A-shares, tech sectors, funds and ETFs, the US medium-term trend and Magnificent Seven rotation, global capital flows, the temperature of Chinese government bonds, stocks near 52-week lows. The `scripts/query.py` script picks the right page for the question (`alla`, `alla-tech`, `funds-greed`, `us7-rotation`, `debt` and others) and fetches data with the API key. The answer carries the data date, key indicators and the limits of use. The skill gives no recommendations to buy or sell specific securities and builds no stock lists, as both the README and `SKILL.md` state. Before every query it checks the version on the server: if the service requires an update, the query stops until the skill is updated.
Who it is for. Private investors and analysts who follow the China and US markets and want an indicator summary from a question in chat while making decisions themselves.
Good fit when
- Before a trading session you want to see what the A-share sentiment looks like
- You wonder whether global capital flow is expanding or contracting and how Chinese government bonds behave
- You want to compare rotation between the Magnificent Seven and the rest of the US market on a medium horizon
- A list of stocks near 52-week lows is gathered as raw material for your own analysis
Not a fit when
- You want specific advice on what to buy or sell: the skill does not give it, by the project's rules
- You want real-time quotes or trading: the skill reads the service's analytical aggregates
- You have no Arkvol key: data is served only with an API key
- The agent cannot reach arkvol.com: every query goes to the service's server
Example request
What does A-share market sentiment look like now according to Arkvol? Give the data date and the key indicatorsLimitations
- An API key from the arkvol.com account is required, and the full key is shown only once. Keep it in `~/.arkvol/arkvol-entry.json`, not in the skill, repository or logs.
- Queries go to the Arkvol server and the service supplies the data. The server blocks skill versions below 0.3.1, so a version check runs first and an update if needed.
- The skill gives no recommendations on specific securities and no stock lists, which is recorded as compliance with Chinese law.
- The README is in Chinese with an English half below, and the repository has no license file.
How to disable. Delete the skill folder from the agent's skills directory. Erase the key from `~/.arkvol/arkvol-entry.json` and regenerate or disable it on the arkvol.com keys page, especially if it reached a chat or a log.
FAQ
How do I install Arkvol Skill?
Ask the agent to install the skill from the `https://github.com/joutaojian/arkvol-skill` repository and set up the key. The key is created on arkvol.com under API Key and written to `~/.arkvol/arkvol-entry.json`.
Where do I keep the API key?
In `~/.arkvol/arkvol-entry.json` in the `api_key` field. The script reads the key from `--api-key`, from the file given by `--config`, from that file and from `shared/arkvol-entry.json` inside the skill. Never publish the skill with a key.
Which questions can I ask?
About A-share sentiment, tech sectors, funds and ETFs, Hong Kong, the US medium-term trend, Magnificent Seven rotation, global capital flow, the temperature of Chinese government bonds and stocks near 52-week lows.
Will the skill advise what to buy?
No. It makes no recommendations to buy or sell specific securities and builds no stock lists, but assesses the market state and gives the limits of use of the data.
Why did the skill stop and ask for an update?
Before a query it checks the version on the server. If it returns exit code 3, `update_required: true` or HTTP 426, a newer version is required: update the skill from the repository and reload the agent.

README in short
The README is bilingual. It describes the service, the compliance note on Chinese law, the skill's role as a reference skill with an API key, getting the key, installing by asking the agent, updating, security rules and terms of use. The English half repeats the same sections.

# Arkvol
1. 登录 `arkvol.com`。
- macOS:`/Users/<用户名>/.arkvol/arkvol-entry.json`
- Linux:`/home/<用户名>/.arkvol/arkvol-entry.json`
```json
{
"api_key": "arkvol-sk-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
}
```
Key 读取顺序为 `--api-key`、`--config` 指定文件、`~/.arkvol/arkvol-entry.json`、Skill 内 `shared/arkvol-entry.json`、`ARKVOL_API_KEY`。
```bash
python <skill-dir>/scripts/query.py --check-update --json
```
保留仓库外的 `~/.arkvol/arkvol-entry.json`,不要覆盖或输出 API Key。
