What it does
The skill gives the agent one entry point to China's A-share market data from the official Tonghuashun vendor. It picks the right channel itself: CLI for terminal work and automation, MCP for chat or IDE sessions, REST for building it into your own service. Coverage includes quotes, financial statements, valuation multiples, indices and sector groups, mutual funds, public futures and options, plus syncing historical data into a local DuckDB. Before querying, the skill resolves a company name to a unique security code and clarifies the period and price adjustment method.

Some capabilities are available only inside Tonghuashun's own client, not through CLI, MCP or REST.
How to disable. Remove the skills/hithink-finance folder from your skills directory, or run npx skills remove hithink-finance.

How is CLI different from MCP and REST?
CLI fits terminal work, automation and the local DuckDB. MCP works inside a chat or IDE that is already connected. REST is for integrating the data into your own service in any language.
Do I need to know the exact security code in advance?
No, the skill searches for and resolves a unique code from a name or ISIN before running the query.
