What it does
Hyperresearch runs a multi-step research pipeline inside Claude Code: it breaks the query into sub-items, searches sources in parallel, maps contradictions between them, digs into contested points, has several critics attack the draft, patches it surgically, and then checks every citation against the text it supports. It searches beyond the open web through scholarly databases such as OpenAlex, Crossref, CORE, ClinicalTrials.gov and SEC EDGAR, and looks for a legal open-access copy of paywalled papers. Every source found is stored in a local markdown-plus-sqlite vault that the next session reuses instead of refetching it.
Who it is for. For anyone preparing substantial research reports with verifiable sources through Claude Code: analysts, content editors, long-form writers.

The skill ships as a Python 3.11-3.14 package built for Claude Code. A full run with critics and citation checking takes noticeable time and burns through tokens and external source calls. Some scholarly databases may be unavailable or slow without a VPN.
How to disable. Uninstall with pip uninstall hyperresearch; for a global install also remove the added system-reminder text from your Claude Code settings.
