What it does
The skill walks the whole McDonald's China MCP call chain: it lists available coupons, claims them in one go, rechecks the wallet, finds nearby restaurants and checks which coupon each one accepts. Then it fetches the menu and computes the price before and after discount. The answer has two tables: restaurants with the best coupon and savings, and a compatibility matrix of coupons against restaurants. The summary is one sentence: which restaurant, which coupon, how much saved. Coupons are counted by `couponId`, not by name, so two different campaigns are not merged.
Who it is for. McDonald's China customers whose wallet fills with coupons and who cannot tell which ones the nearest restaurant will accept.
Good fit when
- The wallet holds several coupons and none worked at the restaurant.
- Several restaurants are nearby and you must pick the cheapest.
- You want one sentence: where to go, which coupon and how much it saves.
- You want to understand why a coupon was claimed but is missing from the wallet.
Not a fit when
- You are outside China or the McDonald's account is not Chinese.
- You need a price guarantee: the result holds only at the time of the request.
- You have no MCP token from open.mcd.cn.

The skill works only with the McDonald's China MCP, and the documentation is in Chinese. The token needs a phone-number login at open.mcd.cn/mcp. The `auto-bind-coupons` step adds coupons to the user's wallet, so it writes rather than only reads. The result is valid only at the time of the request: coupons expire and restaurant stock changes. The project is unofficial and unaffiliated with the company; the ordering app confirms the final price. It was made for a contest, with the last commit in October 2026.
How to disable. Delete the skill folder and the `mcd-mcp` entry from the MCP configuration. Revoke the token in the console at open.mcd.cn.
FAQ
How do 'my coupons' differ from a restaurant's coupons?
`query-my-coupons` lists coupons on the account without checking rules, while `query-store-coupons` keeps those a specific restaurant accepts. The skill compares both.
What do I do with the token?
Get it at open.mcd.cn/mcp after a phone login and put it in place of `YOUR_MCP_TOKEN` in the template. Keep the token to yourself.
Why does call order matter?
The restaurant check searches only among coupons already claimed. Claim coupons first, then check restaurants, or the list comes back empty.
How do I verify the calculations?
Run `python scripts/xray.py --selftest` or `python -m pytest tests/ -v`. The tests cover deduplication, merging, the matrix and sorting.
