What it does
posit-dev/skills is a collection of skills from Posit, the creators of RStudio, for working with R, Python, Quarto, Shiny and the tidyverse. The set includes general developer skills (critical review, an architecture document, task tracking), GitHub pull request work (creating a PR and getting CI green, reading and closing threads), R package development, Quarto, Shiny and `brand.yml` brand styles. Installation: `npx skills add posit-dev/skills --all` or `/plugin marketplace add posit-dev/skills` and `/plugin install posit-dev@posit-dev-skills`. MIT license.
Who it is for. For analysts and developers on R and Python who run projects in Quarto, Shiny and packages and want an agent to know their practices.
Good fit when
- You need skills for R package development
- You need help with Quarto and Shiny
- You want an agent to get a pull request to a green CI
Not a fit when
- You need Python only with no R: some skills are about the R ecosystem
- You need work with no GitHub: the PR skills act through gh
Example request
Go through the pull request comments, fix the code and show that CI turned greenLimitations
The pull request skills act through gh in your name: they create PRs and reply in threads. Check what they send. The other skills are text. Access is minimal. Part of the set is oriented to the Posit ecosystem.
How to disable. Remove the skills with your skill manager command or the plugin through the plugin manager.
