What it does

The skill breaks down a set of articles from one author or account and derives a set of rules you can later write with in the same style. The analysis runs across six levels: language (word frequency, sentence length, punctuation, rhythm), text structure, topic selection logic, sourcing and examples, the author's worldview and visual presentation. The output goes into separate files and a combined Writing-DNA.md document. Before a new text the skill requires rereading all derived documents and a few source articles of a close genre so the style reproduces reliably. It ships a separate skill for cleaning a finished text of common machine generation traits.

Who it is for. For writers, editors, content teams and blog owners who need consistent work in a defined authorial style.

Limitations

For real analysis the author recommends at least 20 complete articles in md or txt; quality on a few short texts is not representative. The examples show only the directory format, not the depth of analysis. The author states the boundaries: the project is for study and style analysis, not for passing text off as someone else's and not for copyright infringement, and third-party articles should not be placed in a public repository without permission.

How to disable. Delete the skill folder from the agent's skills directory, for example ~/.claude/skills/writing-dna-skill/.
