What it does

The skill gives an agent a Yandex Cloud CLI command reference across ten areas: virtual machines, VPC networking with security group rule syntax, IAM and service accounts, object storage, Container Registry and Managed Kubernetes, managed PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB databases, Lockbox secrets, certificates, DNS zones and load balancers. It separately covers profile switching between environments and the endpoint differences between the Russia and Kazakhstan regions.

Who it is for. For DevOps engineers and developers administering Yandex Cloud infrastructure via the CLI.

Create a VM in Kazakhstan with Ubuntu 24.04 and show how to add a security group rule for port 3000

Limitations

This is a command and syntax reference, not an MCP server: the yc CLI itself needs to be installed and authorized separately, and the skill does not check permissions or execute commands on the agent's behalf. The README's clone link points at a different repository name (yandex-cloud-cli-claude-skill); the working path for git clone should be corrected to rodion-m/yandex-cloud-skill.

How to disable. Remove the skill folder from ~/.claude/skills/ or the project's .claude/skills/.

Security check

• The reference suggests commands that create and delete real cloud infrastructure and secrets
• Commands from the skill run in the agent's own environment if the yc CLI is already authorized
