CLI

Broad access

Why this level

  • The `anet` daemon creates, starts and stops agents on the machine on a client command, and those agents read files and run commands with user rights.
  • The admin password is printed once at first start and must be changed at once on a public server.
  • The `grok-build-cli` and OpenCode V2 modes with `--opencode-unsafe-tools` are experimental and open all local tools.

Install

Manual install

curl -fsSL https://anet.sh/install.sh | sh

Installs the `anet` CLI. The hub runs on Bun, so `npm i -g bun` is next, followed by `anet hub start`.

What it does

Agent Network joins agents from several computers. Each machine runs an `anet` daemon, the CommHub hub exposes tools over MCP and delivers tasks through SSE, and nodes are created and started with `anet node create` and `anet node start`. Claude Code, Claude Agent SDK, Codex, Grok Build and OpenCode runtimes are supported. Nodes find each other over MCP and hand out subtasks among themselves. The network is managed from a desktop app for macOS and Windows, an Android client or a web panel opened by `anet hub dashboard`. It includes chat with nodes, file exchange, a task board with projects and GitHub Issues, and node and hub logs. The hub and its SQLite database run on your machine, and there is no cloud version.

Who it is for. People who run agents on several machines and are tired of switching terminals to hand out work.

Good fit when

  • Claude Code runs on a work laptop and Codex on a server, and both need tasks from one place.
  • An agent has to delegate part of the work to another network node over MCP.
  • An agent on a remote machine must be created, started or stopped without an SSH login.
  • Tasks, subtasks and GitHub Issues are tracked on a board next to the agent chat.

Not a fit when

  • There is a single agent on one machine: the network only complicates startup.
  • You cannot keep the hub and daemons running and secured.
  • You need a cloud service: the project runs only on your own machines.

Example request

Create a Codex node on the server, give it the task of analysing failing tests and send the answer to the hub chat.

Limitations

The CLI needs Node.js 22.13 or newer and Bun, which runs the hub. The admin password is printed once at the first hub start. The `grok-build-cli` mode is marked an experimental preview and fits trusted tasks only. OpenCode V2 is enabled with the `--opencode-unsafe-tools` flag, opens all local tools and is likewise meant for trusted tasks. The installer runs as `curl | sh` from anet.sh. Main documentation is written in Chinese and the English README is shorter. The iOS client is still TestFlight only.

How to disable. Stop nodes and daemons with `anet` commands, then shut the hub down. Remove the CLI and SQLite data separately, and change the admin password on public servers beforehand.

FAQ

How do I start Agent Network from scratch?

Install the CLI, run `anet hub start`, log in with `anet login`, create a node with `anet node create my-bot` and start it with `anet node start my-bot`. The line `SSE connected` means the node is online.

Which agents can connect?

Claude Code, Claude Agent SDK, Codex, Grok Build and OpenCode. Sign-in differs: a node reuses an existing Claude Code or Codex login, and the SDK needs an API key.

Where do I open the web panel?

Run `anet hub dashboard` and the panel appears at http://localhost:3000.

How do I secure the hub on a public server?

Change the password at once with `anet passwd`. The hub and its data stay on your server.

Is there a cloud version?

No. The hub and SQLite run on your machine, and the desktop app has a built-in local hub.
