What it does
Bitrix .bpt files are PHP-serialized data compressed one of four ways: gzip, zlib, deflate or plain. The tool gives three commands: dump extracts the content to text (with --pretty you get a readable tree instead of the raw serialized text), build packs it back with a chosen compression method, and info shows a file summary and detects the packing format from its header. It supports stdin and stdout, so commands can be piped together, and build auto-creates missing output directories.
Who it is for. For Bitrix developers and administrators who need to edit or inspect business-process templates outside the visual editor.
Good fit when
- You need to pull a business-process template's text out of a .bpt file to review or version in git
- You need to rebuild a .bpt after manually editing its text
- You need to detect how a given .bpt is compressed before repacking it
Not a fit when
- You want to edit a process visually: Bitrix's built-in editor is the right tool for that
- You need to validate internal references inside the process: this tool only packs and unpacks, with no validation

Building from source needs the .NET 9.0 SDK, or you can use a prebuilt release for your platform. When editing text between dump and build, you cannot change string lengths inside s:<length>:"..." blocks or the rebuild will not match byte for byte. The tool does not validate references to activities or constants inside the process; that needs separate analysis. It has one star, and the README is bilingual in a single file.
How to disable. Delete the downloaded binary or the source folder; the tool does not install anything system-wide.
