Broad access
Why this level
- The daemon opens remote access to agents that read files and run commands on the machine, and traffic goes through a third-party cloud by default.
Install
- Works in
Manual install
npx @mobvibe/cli loginThe first Quick Start command from the README; after sign-in the daemon is started with `npx @mobvibe/cli start`.

What it does
Mobvibe is a distributed WebUI for agents over ACP (Agent Client Protocol). The `@mobvibe/cli` CLI runs a daemon on the developer's machine and finds installed ACP agents: Claude Code, OpenCode, Gemini CLI and over twenty more. The chat opens in a browser at `app.mobvibe.net` or in a Tauri app for desktop and phone. The interface has multiple sessions, streaming output with Markdown and tool results, a file explorer with a Tree-sitter outline and `@` file mentions, and a git changes preview. Session content is encrypted on the CLI side, and the gateway only relays events and cannot read them.
Who it is for. Developers who run agents at home or on a server and want to drive sessions from a phone or elsewhere without network forwarding.
Good fit when
- An agent works on a home computer while progress is checked from a phone.
- Sessions of several ACP agents are kept in one interface.
- Code and diffs are read in the chat through the file explorer.
- The gateway is deployed in-house: the project supports self-hosting.
Not a fit when
- Session content must not pass through third-party infrastructure: the hosted gateway `api.mobvibe.net` is the default.
- The agent does not support ACP: the list holds only compatible clients.
- A local terminal is enough: the daemon exists for remote access.
Example request
Start the `mobvibe` daemon and show which ACP agents it found on this machine and how to open a session from the browser.Limitations
By default traffic goes through the hosted gateway `https://api.mobvibe.net`; the `MOBVIBE_GATEWAY_URL` variable changes the address, and your own gateway can be deployed. Session content is encrypted on the CLI and decrypted in the WebUI, the pairing master secret is shown by `mobvibe e2ee show`, and it must not be lost. The daemon opens a remote path to agents with access to your machine's files and commands, so the account and secret need protecting. The agents themselves are installed separately: Mobvibe finds them through the ACP registry. The last commit in the repository dates from September 2026.
How to disable. Stop the daemon with `mobvibe stop` and sign out with `mobvibe logout`. Delete the `~/.mobvibe` directory with settings and keys by hand.
FAQ
How do I open the interface?
After `npx @mobvibe/cli start` open `app.mobvibe.net` in a browser. On first run Mobvibe scans the system and offers to choose agents.
How do I pair the WebUI with the CLI?
`mobvibe e2ee show` prints the master secret for WebUI pairing, and `mobvibe e2ee status` shows key state.
Which agents can be controlled?
Any with ACP support: Claude Code, OpenCode, Gemini CLI and more than twenty others, listed in the README.
How do I see the daemon log?
`mobvibe logs -f` follows the log in real time, and `-n` sets the line count.
Can I deploy my own gateway?
Yes, the README has a Self-Hosting section. Pass your gateway address through `--gateway <url>` or `MOBVIBE_GATEWAY_URL`.
