What it does
Paseo runs a local daemon on your machine that manages coding agent runs, and clients (desktop, mobile app, web, CLI) connect to it. You can kick off an agent by voice from your phone, watch it run from the desktop, and add follow-up tasks from the terminal, all while the agent runs in your own environment with your own configs. It supports Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode and Pi through one interface, lets you pick the right provider per task, and extends via TypeScript plugins for themes, panels and commands.
Who it is for. For people running several coding agents in parallel who want to manage them from any device without a hosted cloud service.

You need at least one installed and authenticated agent CLI (Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, OpenCode or Pi); Paseo itself provides no models. Plugins run with access to the daemon machine, so install only trusted code.
How to disable. Stop the daemon and remove the package: npm uninstall -g @getpaseo/cli, or remove the desktop app through the normal uninstaller.

Does data go to a Paseo cloud?
No, the daemon runs locally on your machine with no telemetry and no forced login. For phone access you can enable an end-to-end encrypted relay or connect directly over TCP or a VPN.

Yes, there is a ready image at ghcr.io/getpaseo/paseo with the daemon and web UI.
