CLI

Broad access

Why this level

  • Reads stored sign-in tokens of several services, including from the keychain, and sends them to the matching vendors' endpoints.
  • May run the vendors' own commands (`claude doctor`, `grok models`) to renew an expired sign-in.

Install

In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI

npx skillfoxx add cli/quota-axi

How we review

Broad accessThe tool can change data, run commands or handle secrets.

  • Reads stored sign-in tokens of several services, including from the keychain, and sends them to the matching vendors' endpoints.
  • May run the vendors' own commands (`claude doctor`, `grok models`) to renew an expired sign-in.

This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.

What it does

`quota-axi` reads local sign-in data and vendors' first-party endpoints, then prints the quota windows of 19 providers in one answer: how much is left in percent, when it resets, how spending compares to the time before the reset and whether the remainder lasts to the end of the window. Providers include Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Grok, Kimi, Z.AI, DeepSeek, OpenRouter and others. The tool outputs data only: it does not pick a provider, recommend a model or rank anything. Default output is compact TOON so an agent spends fewer tokens, and `--json` gives the normalized structure. The `models --sort runway` mode on request sorts models by quota headroom, and the routing decision stays with the caller. The `quota-axi` skill is a minimal stub that just sends the agent to the live help of `npx -y quota-axi`.

Who it is for. People who hold several coding-agent subscriptions and want Claude Code or Codex to check headroom itself before a long task.

Good fit when

  • Before an overnight run you want to know whether the weekly Claude quota lasts until reset.
  • You use Claude, Codex and Cursor together and the agent has to see where headroom remains.
  • A limit runs out unexpectedly early: the report shows spending pace against the hours before reset.
  • A script needs structured quota data in `--json` for its own selection logic.
  • A person wants a terminal overview: `--tui` renders the report for human eyes.

Not a fit when

  • You want a recommendation on which model to use: the tool deliberately advises and ranks nothing.
  • You want spending analysis from past session logs: separate usage counters exist for that.
  • The tool must not touch local tokens and the macOS Keychain: some providers are unavailable without that.

Example request

Check with quota-axi whether my weekly Claude and Codex quota lasts until reset, and tell me which provider has more headroom right now.

Limitations

Needs Node.js 22.19 or newer. Tokens of Claude Code, Cursor CLI, Copilot CLI and Muse sit in the system's secure stores, and without a one-time `quota-axi --allow-keychain-prompt` permission their data stays unavailable. When a stored token is expired and rejected, the tool may run the vendor's own command to renew sign-in (`claude doctor`, `grok models`); `--no-credential-refresh` turns this off. The `--allow-claude-inference` flag spends quota on a request to Claude. The default mode writes nothing to credentials.

How to disable. Delete the skill from the agent's skills directory (`~/.claude/skills/quota-axi`) and run `npm uninstall -g quota-axi` if installed globally. Keychain access is revoked in system settings.

FAQ

How do I install quota-axi for Claude Code?

Run `npx skills add kunchenguid/quota-axi --skill quota-axi -g`. The skill lands in `~/.claude/skills/`, or in the project's `.claude/skills/` without `-g`. The tool itself runs through `npx -y quota-axi` with no prior install.

Which providers does it read?

Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Grok, Kimi, Z.AI, Alibaba, OpenCode Go, Antigravity, Command Code, MiniMax, MiMo, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, ElevenLabs, Devin, Muse and Higgsfield. Pick them with `--provider claude, codex`.

Does it advise which provider to use?

No. It only reports data, and `models --sort runway` orders models by quota headroom on request with no recommendation. The calling agent or person decides.

What if Claude quota cannot be read?

Claude Code's token sits in the keychain and needs permission first: run `quota-axi --allow-keychain-prompt` once and choose Always Allow. Later non-interactive calls reuse the grant.

Where does it send tokens?

Only to the endpoints of the provider the token belongs to: quota, billing or sign-in checks. Token values are never printed, logged or cached, and there are no third-party relays.

# quota-axi

Report local Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Grok, Kimi, Z.AI, Alibaba, OpenCode Go, Antigravity, Command Code, MiniMax, MiMo, DeepSeek, OpenRouter, ElevenLabs, Devin, Muse, and Higgsfield quota windows.
quota-axi is data only: it never routes, recommends, ranks, or mints credentials. When the same stored
access token is expired, refreshable, and definitively rejected, it may delegate renewal to the vendor's
own CLI and re-read the result.

Use it when you need local quota headroom before deciding whether it is safe to keep spending a
provider, when the user asks about usage, rate limits, pace, or remaining quota, or when comparing
local provider headroom.

For current instructions, output shape, and field semantics, run the CLI (no global install required):

- `npx -y quota-axi` - default TOON report
- `npx -y quota-axi --help` - commands and flags
