What it does
Starwind UI is a set of portable interface components for Astro, React and Vue on Tailwind with an emphasis on accessibility. Per the README there are 55 of them and the CLI adds only the ones you need and places them in the project as source. Start: `npx starwind@latest init`, then `npx starwind@latest add`. For Vue and Svelte there are beta packages and the `--framework` flag. The repository topics list agent-skills. Version 3.3.2 from 06.09.2026, MIT license.
Who it is for. For frontend developers on Astro, React and Vue who need ready accessible components and not a dependency on a library.
Good fit when
- You need Tailwind components for Astro, React or Vue
- You need components as source in the project
- Component accessibility matters
Not a fit when
- You need a ready library as a dependency: components are copied into the project
- You need components for Angular
Example request
Add the Button, Dialog and Tabs components from Starwind UI to an Astro project and show the changesLimitations
The CLI copies component sources into your project and edits configuration, so access is extended: work in a branch. The number of components is stated in the README and the Vue and Svelte packages are in beta.
How to disable. Remove the skill from the agent's folder or the plugin through the plugin manager.
