Broad access
Why this level
- Remote access to a terminal agent through an external server: a compromised session gives control of commands on your machine.
- The agent in the session keeps the permissions you granted it.
Install
- Works in
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add cli/termly-cliDetects the agents on your machine, shows the access level and pins the version.

What it does
Termly CLI wraps a terminal AI assistant in a session that a mobile device can attach to. `termly start` detects an installed tool such as Claude Code, Codex, Aider or Gemini CLI and launches it in the chosen folder. Traffic between the CLI and the phone is encrypted (AES-256-GCM, DH-2048 key exchange) and passes through a server that, by its description, never sees plaintext. Several sessions can run at once, listed with `termly status` and stopped with `termly stop`. A session resumes after a dropped connection.
Who it is for. Developers who run long Claude Code or Codex tasks and want to watch the agent and reply to it from a phone.
Good fit when
- An agent runs long and you left your desk but want to approve the next step.
- Several sessions run on one machine in different projects.
- You need to continue a previous Claude Code session with the `--continue` flag.
- One interface should cover Claude Code, Aider and OpenCode.
Not a fit when
- A terminal session must not pass through an external server.
- You have no mobile client: the README lists iOS and Android apps as coming soon.
- Agent commands must not be approved from an unsecured screen.
Example request
Run termly start for the project folder, choose Claude Code and show the session status.Limitations
The Termly server (`wss://api.termly.dev`) is hardcoded and not configurable, so access goes through a third-party service. The mobile app is marked coming soon in the README, so check how you will connect. A leaked session grants control of the terminal agent on your machine. Node.js 18 or newer is required. The last commit dates from July 2026. Outside the session, server-side data relies only on the stated encryption; the README mentions no independent audit.
How to disable. Stop sessions with `termly stop --all` and remove the package with `npm uninstall -g @termly-dev/cli`. Unpair devices in the mobile client.
FAQ
Which tools are supported?
The README names 23 or more terminal assistants including Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, Cursor CLI, GitHub Copilot CLI, Aider and OpenCode.
Does the server see my data?
By its description, no. Data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and DH-2048 key exchange, and the server is called zero-knowledge. Compare key fingerprints between the CLI and the mobile client.
How do I continue a Claude Code session?
Run `termly start --ai claude-code --ai-args "--continue"`.
Can I run several sessions?
Yes, one per folder. `termly status` lists all active sessions and `termly stop <id>` stops a chosen one.
What does it need to install?
Node.js 18 or newer. Prebuilt binaries for macOS, Linux and Windows ship in the package, so no compilation is needed.

README in short
The package installs with one npm command and sessions start from the project folder. The README lists supported tools, session commands and the encryption design.
