What it does
Tokscale scans the local logs and history files of AI coding agents on the machine and compiles token-usage and cost statistics by model, date and project. It shows the data in a tabbed terminal interface and supports over a dozen agents and harnesses, including Claude Code, Codex, Copilot CLI, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Amp and Warp. A Rust core handles fast parallel file parsing; the tool itself ships as an npm package.
Who it is for. For developers and leads who want visibility into how many tokens and how much money different AI agents are burning.

Data comes from parsing local logs of specific agents on the machine, so accuracy depends on what and how those agents write to their history files. The native Rust module ships with the npm package; building from source is only needed for development.
How to disable. Nothing installs permanently: the npx tokscale@latest command leaves nothing resident besides the npx cache.
