What it does
ZCF is an interactive CLI that rolls out a ready configuration for Claude Code and Codex instead of hand-editing files. The npx zcf command opens a menu where you can install the agent itself, add workflows, set up API access or a model router and connect MCP servers. It ships command, subagent and skill templates in English, Chinese and Japanese, including the BMAD method and planning and development sets. A non-interactive mode takes flags for provider presets and keys, and separate commands update only the workflows or check versions. Settings are written into the agent's configuration and the interface language switches with a flag.
Who it is for. For developers who want a predictable Claude Code or Codex setup fast, without manual configuration.

ZCF configures third-party tools, so the result depends on the versions of Claude Code and Codex and can lag their updates. Some features need keys and paid providers that you connect yourself. During setup it writes into the agent's configuration, so it is worth checking what it changes.
How to disable. Run npx zcf and choose uninstall, or remove the files it added from the agent configuration, for example under ~/.claude/.
