Access and checks

How we review

Extended accessThe tool runs code or makes network calls and only reads external data.

  • A beta version and behavior may change
  • Proxies the tools of all connected servers

This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.

What it does

1MCP Agent gathers several MCP servers into one and gives them to a client through a common address so that you do not configure each server separately. Installation: `npm install -g @1mcp/agent`, add a server: `1mcp mcp add context7 -- npx -y @upstash/context7-mcp`, connect a client: `claude mcp add -t http 1mcp "http://127.0.0.1:3050/mcp?app=claude-code"`. The latest release is v0.39.0-beta.3, that is a beta. Apache-2.0 license.

Who it is for. For developers who have many MCP servers in several clients and are tired of configuring them again.

Good fit when

  • Many MCP servers need to be connected to several clients
  • You need a single address for all connected servers
  • You need to manage servers with the single 1mcp command

Not a fit when

  • You need a stable version: it is a beta now
  • You need to isolate servers from each other

Example request

Add the Context7 documentation server to 1mcp and connect the single address in Claude Code

Limitations

The version is a beta and behavior may change. The agent proxies the tools of all connected servers, so access is extended: a server with excess rights becomes reachable through the common address. Connect only trusted servers.

How to disable. Remove the 1mcp entry from the client and the package with npm uninstall -g @1mcp/agent.
