Access and checks
How we reviewExtended accessThe tool runs code or makes network calls and only reads external data.

This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.
What it does
AdminForth MCP gives an agent access to business records such as customers, requests, orders and other configured resources. The agent reads data and performs permitted actions as the user. Application access rules apply on the server. AdminForth provides the surrounding admin app over your own database. Teams use its browser interface while Claude Code or Codex reaches the same records through a separate connection. Users can open the admin interface to inspect an action’s result.
Who it is for. Owners of internal AdminForth business apps who need agent access to operational records with role separation.
Good fit when
- A manager wants to find overdue requests and record a next step through an agent.
- An existing database needs a shared interface for people and AI.
- Change review should identify both the user and the acting agent.
- You validate a new business workflow with synthetic records before connecting live data.
Not a fit when
- The app has no tested server-side record permissions.
- All agents would share one administrator account.
- You need a ready hosted service without building and hosting an app.

Limitations
The plugin attaches to a working AdminForth application; installing its package does not create a ready business app. It requires a connection table and plugin configuration, so apply schema changes through your established migration process. Agent access follows user permissions; start with a separate read-only connection. Agent attribution also requires Audit Log configuration; installing MCP alone does not provide the complete audit trail.
How to disable. Revoke the agent connection in the user profile’s MCP settings. Signing out of the admin panel alone does not revoke it.
FAQ
Where do I connect Claude Code or Codex?
Open MCP Settings in the profile, choose Connect agent, select your client tab and use the displayed command.
How do I begin without write access?
Keep Read only enabled when creating the connection. Write access requires a new connection.
Can I start from an existing database?
Yes. The AdminForth generator can inspect existing tables and generate application resources for them.
Which Node.js version does the app need?
Supported versions are Node.js 22.12+, 24 and 26. The author recommends Node.js 24 LTS for production.
How should I begin a new business app?
Start with one workflow on synthetic data, such as finding a request and adding a next step. Test team permissions before moving real records.
