How we reviewMinimal accessThe tool runs nothing and makes no network calls.

What it does
The server runs through npx from the @jzone-mcp/antd-components-mcp package and connects to an MCP client over stdio. The Ant Design data is already extracted and shipped inside the package: the current build covers version 6.6.8 from 26 October 2026. The agent gets four tools: `list-components` returns components with descriptions, versions and a hint on when to use each, `get-component-docs` returns filtered documentation and property definitions, `list-component-examples` gives code examples and `get-component-changelog` shows a component's change history. Alongside the tools the server serves two prompts, `system-description` and `system-pages-generate`. They tell the agent not to repeat tool calls and to build the page from context it already has. For clients without prompt support you paste the prompt text by hand. Caching reduces disk reads. The package's major version is one above Ant Design's: package 1.0.x works with antd 5 and 2.0.x with antd 6. For another library version you extract the docs yourself with `npx @jzone-mcp/antd-components-mcp extract` from a clone of the ant-design repository, and the changelog comes from `pnpm lint:changelog`.
Who it is for. Front-end developers on React and Ant Design whose agent writes pages with nonexistent props or outdated component APIs.
Good fit when
- The agent builds an antd form or table and adds props the component does not have
- The project moved to antd 6 and the model remembers the version 5 API
- Before upgrading a component you need to see what its changelog says changed
- A page is generated from a mockup and the context should not bloat with repeated docs calls
- You want an offline reference: the data ships inside the package and no site requests are needed
Not a fit when
- The project uses another UI library: the tool knows only Ant Design
- You need Ant Design 4 or 7: the prebuilt data covers 5 and 6, anything else you extract from the repository yourself
- Your client is the GitHub Copilot or Cline plugin: the author notes the server does not work with them yet
- You need Ant Design X or Pro components: they are only under consideration on the roadmap
Example request
Build an orders table page on antd 6: first read the Table docs and the sorting examples through MCP, then write the codeMCP
- Transport
- stdio
- Authentication
- not required
Limitations
- Tested only with the Claude client, and the docs have no data on other clients.
- The data covers one Ant Design version as of the package build. For fresh or other versions you extract the docs from a clone of the ant-design repository with the `extract` command.
- The package version has to match antd's major version: 1.0.x for antd 5 and 2.0.x for antd 6.
- Support for Ant Design 4 and other libraries is marked on the roadmap as possible, not ready.
How to disable. Remove the Ant Design Components entry from mcpServers in claude_desktop_config.json and restart the client. The package runs through npx, so there is nothing else to uninstall.
FAQ
How do I connect antd-components-mcp to Claude?
Add a server to claude_desktop_config.json with command npx and args ["@jzone-mcp/antd-components-mcp"], then restart the client. The file lives in ~/Library/Application Support/Claude on macOS and %AppData%\Claude on Windows.
Which package version fits antd 6?
Package version 2.0.x. The package's major version is one above Ant Design's: antd 5 uses 1.0.x, and 3.0.x is planned for antd 7.
What data does the server return?
A component list with versions, documentation with props, code examples and each component's changelog. The data is extracted beforehand and ships inside the package.
How do I get docs for another Ant Design version?
Clone the ant-design repository and run `npx @jzone-mcp/antd-components-mcp extract` with the path to it. The command builds a data directory for the server.
Does the server work with Cursor or Cline?
The docs confirm only the Claude client. There is no data on Cursor, so check the connection yourself, and the server does not work in the GitHub Copilot and Cline plugins yet.

README in short
The README presents the server as a source of Ant Design docs for language models and lists its features: ready data, component list, docs, props, examples and changelog. It then explains how package and antd versions map, the roadmap, extracting data yourself and connecting through Claude Desktop. The two server prompts are quoted at the end.
