Install the server from timoshinoleg-eng/avito-mcp following the README (the upstream Avito credentials are required, AVITO_ADS_* only for the ads domain), connect it as an MCP server over stdio or remotely, and enable the ads domain via AVITO_MCP_ALLOWED_TOOL_DOMAINS if needed.

What it does
The project is forked from elchin92/avito-mcp and layers two domains on top of it. The ads domain wraps the official avito-ads SDK and exposes 7 read-only tools: account balance, advertiser list, contracts, campaigns, ad groups, creatives and per-campaign statistics. These tools do not register unless AVITO_ADS_* variables are set, and they sit outside the default read policy group, so they must be explicitly allowed via AVITO_MCP_ALLOWED_TOOL_DOMAINS. The lookup domain is a TypeScript port of a Python script from MissiaL/avito-api and adds full-text search over the descriptions of all 148 upstream tools, so an agent can find the right one by meaning rather than an exact name. Campaign-creation and money-spending Ads operations are deliberately left out as high risk.
Who it is for. For people already using the upstream avito-mcp who want read access to Avito Ads statistics and an easier way to find a tool among a hundred and fifty of them.
Good fit when
- You need the upstream avito-mcp tools plus read access to Avito Ads balance and campaign statistics
- 148 tools are hard to browse by hand and you want meaning-based search
- You are fine with a hobby fork that is not guaranteed to track upstream and does not send PRs back
Not a fit when
- You only need the base Avito tools: it is simpler to install the original elchin92/avito-mcp
- You need to manage ad campaigns: creation, payment and launch are not included in the fork
- You need vendor support and upstream compatibility: the fork is synced manually at the author's discretion

This is one author's personal fork for solo use, not a maintained project: no upstream PRs are planned, and syncing happens manually at major releases. The ads domain needs a separate Avito Ads OAuth app (AVITO_ADS_CLIENT_ID and CLIENT_SECRET) on top of the main API credentials. It has zero stars, and the Russian README only documents the new domains; for the base 148 tools you need to check the upstream project.
How to disable. Remove the server from your MCP client config; to disable only the Ads domain, leave the AVITO_ADS_* variables unset.

No, the author deliberately left those out as high risk: campaign creation, payment and status changes are not implemented.
