What it does
The TypeScript server sends requests to Avito from an avito.ru tab of an already running Chrome over the Chrome DevTools Protocol, so it uses the browser session, cookies and proxy and extracts no cookies outward. Pages are parsed right in the browser and the messenger works over JSON-RPC through the `socket.avito.ru` WebSocket from the same tab. Twelve tools. Search: `search_listings` with 50 results per page and filters, `get_search_filters`, `get_listing` and `get_listing_images`, which hand photos to the model. Correspondence: `list_chats`, `get_chat` and `send_message`. Your own data: `list_orders` for Avito Delivery orders, `my_listings`, `favorites`, `close_reasons` and `close_listing`, which moves a listing to the archive and it can be restored in the cabinet. There are two prompts: `ask_sellers` finds listings and prepares a question for sellers, sending only after user consent, and `close_my_listing`. Ban protection: one request at a time no more than once per 3 seconds, messages no more than once a minute, up to 20 per day and never the same text twice in one chat.
Who it is for. Buyers and sellers on Avito who keep a signed-in Chrome and want to run search, correspondence and closing of listings through an agent, in ChatGPT or Claude Code.
Good fit when
- A search for RTX 5060 video cards in your city runs with the "used" filter and a seller check
- One question goes to the sellers of several listings after user confirmation
- Your own sold listing is closed with a chosen reason and moved to the archive
- Avito Delivery orders, purchases and sales, are viewed with status and tracking number
Not a fit when
- A Chrome with a debugging port cannot be launched: the server connects only over CDP
- Mass mailings or data collection are needed: messages are limited to 20 per day and requests go one at a time
- An agent must write and close listings with no human confirmation: the prompts assume user consent

Environment variables
CDP_URL- Chrome debugging port address, `http://127.0.0.1:9223` by default.
AVITO_REGION- Default search city, a slug from Avito URLs.
AVITO_SEND_GAP_SEC- Minimum pause between messages, 60 seconds by default.
AVITO_DAILY_LIMIT- Messages per 24 hours, 20 by default.
Limitations
Node.js 22 and Chrome or Chromium launched with `--remote-debugging-port=9222` and signed in to Avito are required. Requests go one at a time no more than once per 3 seconds. Sending messages is limited: one per minute, `AVITO_SEND_GAP_SEC`, and 20 per day, `AVITO_DAILY_LIMIT`.
If the Avito security check blocks a background request, the page is opened by a real navigation in a temporary tab. Launch: `npm install`, `npm run build`, then `npm start` over HTTP at `127.0.0.1:3000/mcp` or `npm run stdio`. The debugging port address comes from `CDP_URL` and for a remote Chrome the port is forwarded over SSH. This is an unofficial site client and its operation depends on Avito markup.
How to disable. Stop the server process, remove the entry from the client configuration and close the Chrome debugging port.
FAQ
How do I run avito-mcp?
Launch Chrome with `--remote-debugging-port=9222`, sign in to Avito, then run `npm install`, `npm run build` and `npm start` or `npm run stdio`.
Does the server extract cookies from the browser?
No. Requests run from an avito.ru tab of Chrome itself, so the session and cookies stay in the browser.
How many messages can be sent?
One per minute and up to 20 per day, and never the same text twice in one chat. Limits are changed with `AVITO_SEND_GAP_SEC` and `AVITO_DAILY_LIMIT`.
How do I use the server in ChatGPT?
Run `npm start`: the server raises Streamable HTTP at `http://127.0.0.1:3000/mcp`. For Claude Code there is `npm run stdio` and a `.mcp.json` file.
Can a closed listing be restored?
Yes. The `close_listing` tool moves a listing to the archive and it can be restored in the Avito cabinet.
