Devopness MCP
The remote MCP server of Devopness, a platform that builds infrastructure and deploys apps in your own cloud accounts

Broad access
Why this level
- The agent creates and changes servers, networks and apps in your cloud account, and those resources are billed
- The agent ships changes straight to production servers
- Permissions follow your Devopness role: a broad role gives the agent broad access to the environment
Install
- Works in
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add mcp/devopnessDetects the agents on your machine, shows the access level and pins the version.

What it does
Devopness manages infrastructure and app deployment on five clouds, from AWS and Azure to Hetzner. The platform creates resources in your own cloud accounts: networks, static IPs and servers. Then it configures Linux on the servers and deploys apps with zero downtime after every git push. The vendor's MCP server opens these actions to an agent. You write a request in plain words, and the agent provisions servers, deploys apps and changes infrastructure. Cloud account keys do not enter the chat with the agent. The server runs at https://mcp.devopness.com/mcp/. Cursor and VS Code get one-click install buttons on the repository page.
Who it is for. For developers, founders and agencies who ship on cloud infrastructure they control and want to manage it from Cursor, VS Code or Claude Code.
Good fit when
- You need to stand up a server from scratch in your cloud account and configure Linux on it without SSH
- You are moving an app between clouds, for example from AWS to Hetzner
- You want a git push to trigger a zero-downtime deploy and keep the deploy history in one place
- You need to give teammates per-environment deploy rights without opening the cloud console to them
Not a fit when
- Your infrastructure is already described in Terraform or Ansible and you do not plan to move it to the platform
- You only need an SDK to call the API from code: the JavaScript and Python packages are in the repository and MCP is not required
- Cloud resources must not be created automatically, and every change has to be approved by a person in the provider's console

Limitations
The MCP server itself runs on the vendor's side. The repository holds only documentation and client packages under the Apache 2.0 license, and the source of the server and the platform is not there. Resources are created in your own cloud accounts, and the cloud provider bills you for them. Guides for Windsurf, Zed, Warp and JetBrains AI are in the docs at https://www.devopness.com/docs/mcp/. Whether the service works from Russia is unknown: test the sign-in before you build your deploys on it.
How to disable. Remove the `devopness` server from the MCP settings of your client. Revoke the access you gave the platform in your Devopness account and in the cloud provider console: resources already created in the cloud stay in place and keep being billed.
FAQ
How do I connect Devopness MCP to Cursor or VS Code?
The easiest way is the install button on the repository page. By hand you add it as a remote HTTP server: for Cursor the address goes into the `url` field, and VS Code also needs the type `http`.
Do I need a separate account?
Yes. On start the server asks you to sign in to your Devopness account. A free plan is available without a credit card.
Which clouds does Devopness support?
AWS, Azure, GCP, DigitalOcean and Hetzner. Resources are created in your own accounts with these providers.
How does Devopness differ from Coolify and Dokploy?
Those tools assume a server that is already prepared and reachable over SSH. Devopness creates the cloud infrastructure from scratch.
Can I use Devopness without MCP?
Yes. Everyday operations are available through the web app, the mobile version and the API. For code there are SDKs: `@devopness/sdk-js` for JavaScript and `devopness` for Python.

README in short
The author positions Devopness as a replacement for a Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins stack and for platforms such as Vercel and Heroku. A separate section addresses agents and points to the MCP setup docs.
