What it does
iMCP is a macOS app that gives AI the data of your Mac through MCP: the calendar, contacts, reminders, messages and more. Installation: `brew install --cask mattt/tap/iMCP`, connection to Claude Code: `claude mcp add --scope user iMCP -- /Applications/iMCP.app/Contents/MacOS/imcp-server`. Written in Swift, version 1.6.3 from 04.10.2026, MIT license. The project is not affiliated with Apple.

Limitations
The app opens personal data to the agent: messages, contacts, calendar and reminders, so access is wide. In the macOS system dialogs allow only the needed categories and check where the client sends the data. The project is not affiliated with Apple.
How to disable. Remove the server entry with claude mcp remove iMCP and the iMCP app, and revoke permissions in the macOS privacy settings.
