Manual install
npm install -g @wenyan-md/mcpGlobal install of the server; it then connects as the wenyan-mcp command.

What it does
The server connects AI clients such as Claude Desktop to Wenyan's formatting engine over MCP. The agent hands over Markdown, and the server turns it into WeChat layout, applies one of the built-in themes and uploads the result to the official account draft box. Along the way it uploads the article images and cover itself: local files, links and relative paths. Its MCP tools cover Markdown rendering, theme management (list, register your own theme from CSS, delete) and saving a draft. It also supports image posts, where the image list is set in frontmatter.
Who it is for. For writers and social media managers who run a WeChat official account and want to prepare posts straight from an AI client.

You need a WeChat official account and the WECHAT_APP_ID and WECHAT_APP_SECRET variables, otherwise uploads fail. The IP of the machine running the server must be on the account's whitelist; a remote server mode exists to work around this. The server places material in the draft box, and you confirm the final publish manually in the WeChat backend. The project documentation is in Chinese.
How to disable. Remove the wenyan-mcp block from your client's mcpServers config and, if you wish, uninstall the @wenyan-md/mcp npm package.
