Pascal
MCP tools and a CLI for a 3D building editor: the agent creates, inspects and edits architectural scenes
Medium risk
We rate an entry medium when the tool runs code, makes network calls or reads project files. Check what exactly it does before installing.
Why this level
- Runs a local service and MCP tools that modify scene files
- The hosted mode sends project data to the Pascal cloud
Install
In your terminal, with SkillFoxx CLI
npx skillfoxx add mcp/pascalDetects the agents on your machine, checks the risk and pins the version.
Other ways to install
Run in a terminal
claude mcp add --transport http editor https://editor.pascal.app/api/mcp --header 'Authorization: <your AUTHORIZATION>'Or add to the file .mcp.json, in the project
{

"editor": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://editor.pascal.app/api/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "<your AUTHORIZATION>"
}
}
}
}If the file already exists, add the server inside the mcpServers key.
Keys and settings
AUTHORIZATIONsecret, required- Bearer API key created in Pascal Settings, formatted as Bearer sk_live_...
Replace the values in angle brackets with your own. Keys never go into install links and are not stored by us.
The button opens the agent and offers to add the server. If nothing happens, copy the config below.
Add to the file ~/.cursor/mcp.json, for all projects

Install the CLI: npm install --global @pascal-app/cli and run npx @pascal-app/cli editor to start the local MCP service. In Claude Code add the skills: /plugin marketplace add pascalorg/editor and /plugin install pascal-agent-skills@pascal. For cloud projects connect the hosted endpoint https://editor.pascal.app/api/mcp.
Other ways from the author
npx @pascal-app/cli editorStarts the local editor and an authenticated MCP service. Install the command with npm install --global @pascal-app/cli. Needs Node.js 22.13+.
This is third-party code. Review the repository files before installing.
What it does
Pascal is an open 3D architectural editor that gives an agent semantic tools over MCP. The agent can create rooms and buildings, inspect a project, make spatial edits, validate a scene and return an editor link. A local CLI launches the editor and an authenticated MCP service on free ports and keeps projects in a local database, with no key required. There is also a hosted MCP endpoint with an optional key for working with projects in a Pascal account.
Who it is for. For designers, architects and developers who want to build and edit 3D scenes through an agent.
Good fit when
- You want the agent to build or change a room or building model
- You need scene validation and an editor link
- You want to work on a 3D project locally without an account
Not a fit when
- You need a full CAD with strict engineering calculations
- You cannot run a local service or Node.js 22.13+
Example request
Build a one-room apartment model in Pascal and send me the editor linkLimitations
The local mode needs Node.js 22.13 or newer, and the editor downloads a runtime per version once and verifies it against a digest. Keep one active agent client per local service. The hosted endpoint requires a Pascal account; the key is stored in the OS keychain and is only needed for cloud projects.
How to disable. Remove the pascal-agent-skills plugin via /plugin and delete the pascal MCP entries via /mcp; optionally uninstall the CLI (npm uninstall -g @pascal-app/cli).
MCP
- Transport
- stdio, http
- Authentication
- API key
| Environment variables | |
|---|---|
| PASCAL_API_KEY secret | Key for the hosted endpoint and cloud projects; not needed for local work. |
Security check
- Runs a local service and MCP tools that modify scene files
- The hosted mode sends project data to the Pascal cloud
README in short
The README shows Pascal as an open 3D architectural editor with a local CLI, MCP tools and ready agent workflows. The local @pascal-app/cli launches the editor and an MCP service with no account, while a hosted server uses the editor.pascal.app/api/mcp endpoint and an optional key. The pascal-3d and furniture-fit skills install via skills.sh or as a Claude Code and Codex plugin. MIT licensed.
FAQ
Do I need an account and a key?
Not for local work. A key is only needed for the hosted endpoint and cloud projects.
How are the skills installed?
Via npx skills add pascalorg/editor or as a Claude Code and Codex plugin from the repository marketplace.
