RepoPrompt CE is a free, open-source macOS app that helps coding agents understand a project before they change anything. It assembles focused context from files, code maps, repository structure and git diffs and hands it to agents and CLI tools. Around its bundled MCP server the app builds an agent harness: MCP-compatible clients and CLIs connect to search repositories, read files, curate context, run agent sessions and orchestrate work through a shared native interface. It is the community edition of the known RepoPrompt tool and installs via Homebrew without building from source.
