What it does

The server calls the Travelpayouts API using an access token and gives an agent 13 tools across three areas: eight flight tools, including route and date search, the cheapest month, a daily price calendar, popular directions from a city, a specific airline's routes, current special offers, direct-only flights, and prices for plus-or-minus N days around a date, two hotel tools for city search with dates and guest count and pricing for a specific hotel, and three lookup and autocomplete tools for airports, airlines and cities by name or IATA code. API requests automatically retry with exponential backoff on rate limits and server errors.

Who it is for. For people planning trips who want to find cheap flights and hotels through an agent instead of manually browsing dates.

Good fit when

  • You want to find the cheapest departure dates within a month or date range
  • You want to compare popular directions from your city with prices
  • You want to pick a hotel and a matching flight for the same dates together

Not a fit when

  • You do not have a Travelpayouts API token
  • You need to buy a ticket or book a hotel: the server only shows prices and options, and booking happens on partner sites

Limitations

The project has a single author and is part of the same author's larger series of Russian API MCP servers. All 13 tools are read-only over prices and options; there is no booking tool among them. The README does not describe Travelpayouts rate limits.
