What it does
Workopia MCP Server connects the workopia.io job search service to an agent over MCP. There are five tools: job_tool searches jobs on employer career pages and ATS feeds such as Lever, Greenhouse and Workday and saves finds to your account, and job_detail_tool returns salary, requirements and skills for one posting. Two more tools work with your documents. tailor_resume_tool tailors a resume to the text of a job description, and cover_letter_tool drafts a cover letter for a specific role. dashboard_tool opens a dashboard with saved, tailored and applied jobs and your latest resume. The server is hosted by Workopia, so nothing is installed on your machine. Sign-in uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE: an email code, Google, LinkedIn or GitHub.
Who it is for. For people looking for jobs abroad or at international companies who prepare applications in an agent chat.
Good fit when
- You need to find jobs across countries from an agent chat and save good ones to your account
- A resume has to be tailored to a specific posting: key skills and wording from the job description
- A role needs a cover letter built from your resume and the posting's requirements
- You want saved, tailored and applied jobs in one dashboard
- Your client supports MCP and OAuth sign-in: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf
Not a fit when
- You need vacancies from Russian employers: the catalog has servers for hh.ru and Habr Career
- You cannot send a resume to an external service: for tailoring the text goes to Workopia
- You need access without sign-up: every tool requires a Workopia sign-in
- You need automatic applications sent to employers: the server searches, prepares documents and keeps records

Limitations
Every tool works only after a Workopia sign-in, and there is no anonymous mode. Sign-in and the starting quota are free, and higher limits are arranged with the service owner by email. Search, views, saves, applications and resume operations are tied to your profile so the dashboard and history work. The server runs only in the Workopia cloud and there are no instructions for running it locally, so the tools stop working without access to workopia.io. Whether the service is reachable from Russia is unknown.
How to disable. In Claude Code run `/plugin uninstall workopia-jobs`. In Claude Desktop or Cursor remove the workopia entry from the MCP configuration. The OAuth token is stored by the client; revoke the connection in the client settings or delete the server.
FAQ
How do I connect Workopia MCP to Claude Code?
Run `/plugin marketplace add workopia/workopia-mcp` and `/plugin install workopia-jobs`. On the first tool call Claude Code opens the Workopia sign-in page in your browser. The token is stored and refreshed on its own.
Do I need an API key?
No. The client registers with the server dynamically and signs in with OAuth 2.0 and PKCE; a Workopia profile is enough.
Do I pay for the AI?
No. Resume tailoring and letters are written by your client's model. Workopia hosts no language model and does not charge for AI.
Where do the jobs come from?
From employer career pages and ATS feeds such as Lever, Greenhouse and Workday. Workopia collects millions of open jobs across more than 90 countries.
What does the service store about my requests?
The server does not collect conversation transcripts. Activity records contain no tokens and no raw resume text, only the actions themselves: a search, a view, a save, a resume operation.
