What it does
The set is packaged as the browse plugin for Claude Code and gives the agent web work through the browse CLI and the Browserbase cloud. It ships about two dozen skills: browser automation, a safe browser with a domain allowlist, capturing and parsing DevTools traces, turning a site's traffic into a draft OpenAPI, self-improving navigation, WebMCP generation, syncing cookies from local Chrome, plain fetch and search without a browser, adversarial UI testing, and several skills for company and competitor research. The browser can run locally with a local flag or through remote Browserbase sessions with proxies and CAPTCHA solving. Once installed, you just ask the agent to open a site, check a page or run a scenario in plain words.
Who it is for. For developers, QA engineers and analysts who need the Claude Code agent to browse the web and work with pages on its own.
Good fit when

Many features target the Browserbase cloud and its API, which needs an account and a key, and the service has paid plans. The local browser needs Chrome installed. Some skills sync cookies from your Chrome and work with authenticated sessions, which is sensitive data. The service is foreign, so access to the account and cloud sessions from Russia may require a VPN, while the local skills and fetch work without one.
How to disable. Remove the browse plugin via /plugin in Claude Code and, if needed, remove the browserbase marketplace. For a manual install, delete the copied skill folders from the agent's skills directory.

FAQ
Can it work without the Browserbase cloud?
Yes. The browser runs locally with the --local flag, and the fetch and search skills return pages and search results without a browser. Advanced cloud features need an account and a key.
How does the agent reach authenticated sites?
The cookie-sync skill moves cookies from your local Chrome into the browser context, so the agent sees an existing login. Grant this access deliberately.
