What it does
The plugin pairs an 11-tool async IMAP and SMTP MCP server called yandex-mail with three skills. check-inbox reads unread mail and sorts it into categories like business, financial or notifications with an urgency priority. compose-email drafts a new business email with an HTML signature, a logo and inline images, and shows the draft for confirmation before sending. reply-to-email finds the original email and replies with a quote, preserving the thread via Re, In-Reply-To and References headers. It supports Yandex Mail, including Yandex 360 for Business with custom domains. An email is actually sent only after the user confirms the shown draft with a word like yes.
Who it is for. For people who handle business email on Yandex Mail and want Claude to sort the inbox and draft signed replies.
Good fit when
- You want a quick unread-mail triage by urgency and category
- You want replies and new emails with a consistent HTML signature and logo
- You are fine with an email only going out after explicitly confirming the draft
Not a fit when
- You are on Windows without WSL or MSYS: the platform was not tested
- You do not want to give the plugin send access even with confirmation

You need a Yandex app password rather than the regular account password, and IMAP access enabled in Yandex Mail settings. It is tested on macOS and Linux; Windows was not tested and the author says it should work via WSL or MSYS. Setting up the signature requires company details and a path to a logo.
How to disable. Remove the plugin with claude plugin remove claude-yandex-mail, or delete the .plugin file from Cowork.

No, Claude shows the draft and sends it only after the user explicitly confirms.
Will a regular Yandex Mail password work?
No, you need a separate Mail-type app password from id.yandex.ru security settings.
